CB and your privacy
Privacy is a viable concern for Internet users, as well as companies doing
business on the web. We are committed to the privacy rights of our users, and
to this end, fully disclose our privacy policies so our users can understand
what kind of information we capture, and how we subsequently use that information.
All personally identifiable information is managed with the utmost confidentiality,
and under no circumstance is it sold or disclosed to any third party.
1. Personally identifiable information collected
2. How the information is used
3. With whom the information is shared
Personally identifiable information collected
We collect information about our users in two different ways, implicitly and
explicitly. We learn about our visitors implicitly through the use of our own
web site activity analysis solution. Additionally, we collect personal information
in order to fulfill users' requests for additional information on our product
line, or partner programs.
Information we collects:
- reports on visitor information like user domain, browser and most popular
pages. This information is based on each visit, not each user, and is stored
in a database.
- Visitors to our web site have the option of requesting more information
about our product line and/or Customer Synthesis programs. The only information
we require in order to fulfill these requests is a name, phone number and
email address. All other information on our forms is voluntary. Additionally,
users have the opportunity to send us website feedback, with the option to
submit their name and email address.
We respect your right to privacy and we understand that, as a visitor to our
site, you prefer to control your own personal information and preferences. For
this reason, we want to present information on www.chemical-block.com
that is tailored to your own information preferences. Also for this reason,
we may ask you, on occasion, to register or to provide personal information
and preferences when you visit certain areas of our web site, download free
software, request new information, or subscribe to a customized newsletter.
We will use the personal information you share with us to ensure the content,
services, and advertising that we provide on our web site are always tailored
to your current, designated preferences.
If, for example, you provide CB with your name or alias, mailing address,
or telephone number, CB and its partners may use your postal address and phone
number to alert you to product upgrades, special offers, updated information,
classes, and new services. If you provide your e-mail address (as an alternative
to, or in addition to, your mailing address and phone number), CB may contact
you via e-mail. CB never releases e-mail addresses to its partners.
If you do not want CB, or our partners to contact you, you may "opt out" at
any time, whether you're online or contacting CB directly. You'll always have
the option to "opt [back] in" and have CB contact you based on your previous
or new preferences.
If you choose not to register or provide personal information, you can still
visit most our web site; however, you will not have access to areas that require
personal identification.
CB membership and the usage of automatically logged information
CB offers free membership to all visitors. In order to establish membership,
visitors are requested to provide both personal information and preferences.
This information is stored and protected by your user-established Member ID
and Password.
There is an additional "Remember Me" option that allows you to be recognized
(by your user-designated name or alias) when returning to CB web site in the
future. Acceptance of this option allows CB to place a log file (cookie) that
contains only enough information to identify you upon return visits, thereby
eliminating the need to continually ask you for the same generic information.
This cookie contains no personal information, with the exception of your name
or alias that you previously provided.
No information, other than that found in the log file, will be accessed by
any CB system. Access to all user-provided information always requires both
your established Member ID and Password.
How CB will protect your personal information CB will always
protect the personal information that you share with us. CB stores information
internally in a controlled, secure environment. If, for example, you make a
purchase online, we route all transactions through SSL (Secure Socket Layers)
and will process your credit card number only to secure your current payment.
The SSL transaction does not retain your credit card number subsequent to the
transaction at hand and will not use the number for marketing purposes.
If CB requests general demographic information (such as your county, district,
education, etc.), information is absolutely limited to CB marketing purposes
only.
CB may occasionally present a special contest or promotion that is sponsored
by another company. We may ask you to provide personal information, but we have
no plans to share that information with the sponsor(s).
How to update your personal information and preferences
You can help CB maintain the accuracy of your personal information by notifying
us when you change your name, address, title, phone number, e-mail address,
or your respective content preferences. If at any time you wish to update your
information or preferences, or you prefer to stop receiving communication from
CB or our partners, feel free to contact us at any time.
E-mail: cbi@chemical-block.com
Please include your old and new contact information so that we can make the
appropriate corrections.
How we use this information
We use the information for refining the content on our site to provide an enhanced
user experience.
Reports on the domain names of visitors to our site may result in opening mirrors
and CB departments in differenyt countries.
The forms on our site give visitors the opportunity to request more information
about our product line and/or Customer Support Programs. User information is
sent to the appropriate department, and is used to fulfill the request. CB
sales representative may periodically contact the visitor to see if their needs
have changed.
With whom we share this information
Under no circumstance do we share or sell this information with anyone.
CB would like to receive your comments and questions about this
privacy policy
